Unfortunately, this past weekend’s highlights is probably the complete opposite of the last but hey life goes on. Since this is principally a healthy living, running, strength training blog, won’t go into the results of the just concluded elections. Plenty of fodder material both on and offline for you.
But it was still as FTW weekend or rather FTW Monday since I had to come into work while a lot of friends are enjoying the day off. Top that off with 3.5 hours of shuteye (totally self inflicted from staying up to watch the results come in) to power thru this…Leg Workout Day!
a) EPIC hack squat (lots of re-introduction to old friends today)
b) Cybex plate weight loaded leg squat press (remember what Adrian said…double leg squats and presses are “advanced” moves and clearly I’m not in that group. so WTH am I being subjected to this?!?!?! On a Monday. On 3.5 hours of zzz. On fatigued legs.)
c) Technogym leg extension (dropsets) (new weight! Unbelievable magic 80! Surprised the glutes didn’t desert me on the stairs to the mezzanine floor after the first supersets)
d) Walking lunges (switching to recovery mode)
e) Technogym leg press (like I said, a re-introduction; hurts so bad in a good way)
f) Cybex prone leg curl (new weights!)
Single sets of:
g) Cybex Eagle Abdominal
h) Precor concentrated bicep curl
Oh did I mention that we did a double run this weekend? Thought so.
In the meantime, I guess it’s Black Monday.
