Recovery Run – 7 May 2013

Route: Le Chateau (this still sounds fancy schmancy to moi!) - Taman Seputeh
Distance: 5.39km (Garmin)
Timing: 31:52 for 5:54 min/km pace

Double runs including a long run over the weekend and yesterday’s heavy duty workout lead to IOMS and DOMS living up to their expectations. Add to that a 3.5 hour shuteye on Sunday night and whatda have…sore, achy gal.

Thank goodness for no training plans <<<<<< that’s my excuse for running slow.

Oh wait, I run slow all the time anyway!

1st half (2.906km; 17:28)
Comprised entirely of vertical climbs except for the last 200-300m – and to add to my misery (again, totally self inflicted; why do I do this to myself?!?!?!), I threw in the climb to Seputeh Heights.

2nd half (2.481km; 14:20)
Stopped no less than 4 times on this stretch. We’ve gotta find a less-traffic congested route but the climb to Thean Hou temple looks even worse than the Seputeh Heights. It’s a “do you die; don’t do you die” situation.

Photo log:

This came in the mail yesterday. 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 times better reading material than some of the trashy stuff floating in the media these days.
