Five Things Friday

1. Woke up to another day of DOMS. And I just found out why this morning – the culprit or the icing on the cake after the earlier toughies: 12kgs KB for walking lunges. Each.

2. Managed to put in a run-walk at DPC last night. The initial thought was to walk to decompress and since the legs felt good-ish, slow easy smell-the-flowers pace coz you know, you know…see item before this.

3. The foam roller kicked my b*tt quads, hammies, glutes. And I’m hoping to be shod in these and their upper counterparts will help things along.

4. What riles me at work: the deal that we’ve been working on since 2010. Pattern: start-defer-stop, start-defer-stop, start-defer-stop, start-defer-stop, start-defer-stop. Repeat 999,999,999,999,999,999,999 times.

5. F is for Friday’s Chest & Pecs training (whatever F means). It was a short session as both of us had another (separate) appointments, so to max it out, supersets for everything.

Supersets of:
a) Free weights bench chest press (Michael didn’t want me to use the Smith as my “almost permanentcrutch; nonetheless to say the probability of the BB smashing into my face went up exponentially by 999,999,999,999,999,999,999 times)
b) DB bench chest press

Supersets of:
c) Smith machine incline chest press (hmmm maybe a change of mind)
d) Decline push-ups

Supersets and dropset of:
e) Technogym cable chest fly
f) {Another} Technogym cable chest fly (different angle but doesn’t mean easier. Begeeeezzz, you never learnt, huh?)
