Rather than being a Debbie Downer (hey, we’re already battling the Monday blues and there’s no need to add to that!), here are some pics from Dad’s birthday dinner at Lai Ching Yuen yesterday. Although the cake was from Tiffins (taking advantage of the 50% discount).
Birthday boy
Before this, dinner
Appetizer of lightly fried soft shell crab
Fried noodles for the parents – perhaps something about noodles and longevity
Char Siew & Siew Yok
Braised Iberico pork with bell peppers and shitake mushrooms
Braised tofu with crab meat
Stirfried prawns
Open kitchen
The Xmas décor were up in the lobby
I was expecting a leg workout but Michael sprung a “surprise” and so it was Chest & Pecs. Can’t complain though. Then again, it means 2 days of sweating it out and stressing over the legs.
Single sets of:
a) Smith machine bench chest press (another “surprise”…not a drop set)
b) Smith machine incline chest press (oh, here comes the drop set)
Supersets of:
c) DB decline bench chest press (wobbly since I’ve zero coordination. What else is new!?)
d) Wide angle push-ups
Supersets of:
e) LF cable chest fly
f) Diamond push-ups (yeah, push-ups day)
Supersets of:
g) Free-standing dips
h) Angled leg raises
How was your weekend? Did Monday start off good for ya?
