Lunch at Silverspoon

Date: 22 January 2012

Restaurant: Silverspoon

Address: Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia

Website: n/a but this is what Google yielded here, here, here

Occasion: CNY eve late lunch after arriving in town

KM, SF, Ashley and I headed here after they picked me up from the airport. It was a late lunch for them (~2:15pm) and an early tea break (or capping off lunch) for me. Since it was the eve of Chinese New Year, there were very few places opened but this was! There wasn’t any customers in the cafĂ© when we got there – combination of CNY eve and late hour perhaps? Another group came in closer to 3pm.

The place had an “arty farty” contemporary feel to it – just look up and you see this

KM had the nachos Bolognese and the portion was huge! There were nachos and fries and these were topped with sour cream and Bolognese sauce. Good stuff.

SF had the “healthier” salad with chicken strips – huge portion again. Oh wait, perhaps it’s just me because they both shared the dishes and polished them off…without any trouble!

My order was White Coffee which probably came out from a 3-in-1 but I’m not complaining while SF had the Iced Lemon Tea.
