CNY Day 1 Lunch at Fratini’s Miri

It is so refreshing to get away for CNY and having some other cuisine other than Chinese. Fratini’s is like a canteen for the Shell guys and they were having a 50% discount promotion for pasta and pizza ordered between noon and 6 pm. Service was impeccable and the wait staff were mainly Filipinos and they actually understand English! They even come back to check with you on your order if something was amiss; definitely a far cry from the service levels in the Peninsular. Here is the photo log to whet your appetite!

HTN’s Banana Jumble

Bread basket – they had mistakenly toasted it and when we pointed it out, they were gracious to change it to the plain untoasted variety so we could dip them in olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

HTN & SW ordered the al Funghi

Mom & SF had the Caesar Salad

KM’s Spaghetti Vongole

Dad’s Breaded Chicken and Chips

I had the Minestrone Soup with a slice of baguette garlic bread
