adiNation Training Run – 6 January 2011

Attendees:

a) Kenny

Distance: Seputeh and Taman Desa (Garmin: 9.35km but probably 9.5km since I started the Garmin late)

Timing: 55:45 min for 5:57 min/km pace

Yesterday evening’s run was postponed to this morning as we were “rained out”. Not that it was any better this morning! The huge fat drops started about 200m from Kenny’s place and our hope for a passing rain was unfulfilled. In fact, this morning’s run was an obstacle course run (aka puddles of water and the possibility of being roadkill – by stray dogS and traffic) in a downpour! Ahh…it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we had to run faster and it made for a very comfortable run. The overcast sky also masked the EXTREMELY long uphill at Taman Desa which I did not think was too difficult (see…if you cannot see anything in the dark…you won’t hyperventilate or dread it!). I ran this portion ahead of Kenny (oh maybe about 50m in front) and found out later that during a previous run, Kenny had to double back to look for Lai (he walked!). All in, a nice easy run to start the day. I may make this a weekly affair – perhaps on Tuesdays and maybe cover more ground (LSD? 15-20km?).

Kenny’s “playground” is ideal since I can hop over to Mid Valley for a shower before coming into the office.
