It was functional training this morning after yesterday’s strength workout. However, it did not seem “functional” to me since we did not use the Bosu half ball or the air pillows except for one workout.
a) Wheel abs workout – we tried resting on our toes instead of the knees; boo! It did not work – I could go forward but had trouble (MAJOR!) returning to ground zero.
b) Combo of chest press and chest fly on the resistance band
c) Deadlifts – since it was pretty light, I told Michael we could up the ante but he went too far!!! I could only manage 10 reps for each set.
d) Combo of BB squats and overhead shoulder press on the air pillows
e) BB squats on the air pillows
Supersets of a combo involving:
f) Kettlebell walking lunges
g) Kettlebell bendover back row
h) BW walking lunges
i) Push-ups on medicine ball – this was a tough one since Michael did not allow me to rest the ball against the mirror.
j) Jumping squats
k) Bicep curls on the resistance band
l) Abs crunches on the medicine ball
