I am planning to have an easy workout week except for the weight training sessions with Michael; so may skip or reduce the duration and intensity of the cardio sessions. This is to prepare my body for the onslaught of the Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon (SCKLM) this weekend but more than that, I am burnout. SCKLM will be punishing given the slopes behind the Parliament and Bank Negara Malaysia buildings and I am expecting to be punished thoroughly. I remembered walking up that slope during last year’s race and my gluts, quads and hamstrings ache for the next 3 days! Sunday was my last day of intense cardio and I am winding down though I did slot in an hour of easy-does-it cardio on the cross trainer this morning. I will probably stick to yoga on Thursday and Saturday. What do you think?
Apart from taking it easy this week, workout wise, I am also planning to load up on my calorie intake – this has been an ongoing project since I noticed the sharp reduction in my weight following the adoption of the Buteyko breathing – not that this project has been met with any success! I should add “so far” to my last sentence but I am not optimistic. What else can I do in addition to my current 5-meals-a-day?
