The training started completely off the track or rather I got caught off guard when Michael said we were doing weights instead of the humdrum functional training which we usually do on Wednesdays. Functional training on Wednesdays works well for me since the load is lighter and less taxing especially with the adiNation training in the evenings.

b) Wide grip chin up
c) Smith machine incline chest press
d) Single arm DB row
e) BB overhead shoulder press
f) DB chest fly
g) Smith machine squat
h) DB lateral raise
i) Plate loaded leg press
j) Life Fitness cable upright row
k) Abs – crunches on stability ball
The training was a “success” since my quads, gluts, chest, lower back and shoulders are aching. I am not too sure if it’s due entirely to the weights or the fartlek training in the evening.
