I had the most amazing trifle during the tea break for the CFA Malaysia-organized talk (Gold is Money…and Nothing else!). The Westin KL was the venue of the talk and the morning break’s selection was a Hopson’s choice of Mango Trifle for me since I do not take meat (the alternative was mini lamb pies). The trifle was light and refreshing – I suspect this is due to the generous use of fresh mangoes for the custard. Furthermore, there were copious chunks of mango cubes for each glass, a rare finding. Strangely, I have never had trifle before yesterday despite living with Vic who is a huge fan of Marks & Spencer’s strawberry trifle.
