Taman Desa Seputeh Hill Training – 18 October 2012

Route: 2 laps around Taman Desa Seputeh + 1 lap around Taman Seputeh
Distance: 2 * 4km + 2km = 10km (Garmin: 9.62km)
Timing: 54:08 for 5:37 min/km pace

Another sucky run on my road to recovery. The timing is downright depressing.

Warm up: House to train station via furniture mall (0.935km; 5:37)
Felt good even though it was a solo run. I guess the downpour last night through this morning helped loads.

Lap 1 (3.365km; 18:38)
Trucking along at my happy pace. Said “hi” to uncle at km 2.

Lap 2 (3.322km; 18:34)
Still smiling. Of course I was smiling this morning…because I don’t look at the Garmin during the run. My world came crashing down when I saw the numbers in the office. I’ve been in depression since then. I. Kid. You. Not.

Silly, ain’t it? Letting something like a hobby to consume my life. Oh…that’s how we runners roll around here. Running is full time work; office is part time work.

Finishing mile: Train station to house via Old Klang Road loop (2.000km; 11:15)
The potholes on the road was filled to the brim with rainwater. Dirty muddy rainwater. So it was a matter of playing hop-scotch up the darn hill!

Thursday’s Mantra: 3Rs - Rest, Re-hydrate, Re-fuel.
