Definitely SW’s birthday dinner at Prego (Westin KL) and the Double Fudge Chocolate Cake from Senses (Crowne Plaza Mutiara KL).
A different twist to soda water – bits of orange bits and tea or fruit juice (?)
We started with the bread basket filled with glorious and warm focaccia bread and salsa topping and/or olive oil (with/without balsamic vinegar) – your preference
SW’s baby octopus pasta and my Aglio Olio fussilli topped with bread crumbs (gluten free; and we all agreed that this was the best dish! Not that the rest were “bad” – they were all good. Really good).
HTN’s calzone or in KM’s word, giant curry puff.
Finishing the night with this
It’s been a pretty intense weekend, workout-wise. I’m still sore from all of it!!! Back, quads, hamstrings, calves, shoulders. Basically my entire body and I’m bone tired, exhausted. Thank you for asking.
Friday’s Back & Lat’s session kicked things off. Saturday was the Double Hill run with the gang followed by vinyasa yoga. Sunday was the second series of the PAR8 and taking cue from Em (that girl is insane and trying to convert the rest of us! One tiny relay run doesn’t qualify as a “workout”!), a Shoulder workout.
Single sets of:
a) Smith machine overhead shoulder press
b) DB lateral raise
c) Technogym shoulder press
d) Technogym cable rear delt
e) DB bendover rear delt fly
f) Technogym cable upright row
g) Roller abs
h) Leg raises
Michael and I tried out something different this morning for Chest & Pecs: machines + slightly lighter (lighter, NOT light) weights
Single sets of:
a) Cybex Eagle chest press
b) Cybex Eagle incline chest press
c) Technogym cable chest press-chest fly combo
d) Freemotion cable chest fly
e) Free-standing dips
f) Single arm raised push-ups (I can’t remember the actual term for this! Sorry! It’s basically one raised arm on a flatform/Bosu with the other on the floor and switching it after each rep)
g) TRX modified chest press
h) Abs crunches on fitball
Like I said, a somewhat rest or active recovery day.
How was everyone’s weekend?
