Woke up to sore quads and had to bail out of a run. :( Who knew a less than 10% distance of a marathon can do that to you?!?!?!?! Hah? Just me? I’ve no one or nothing else to attribute blame except a weak body or rather legs. Anyway, I’m hoping to put up the race recap tomorrow – hey, there’s only so much one can ramble about 4km.
Quick (because the quads were hurting) and easy warm up on the elliptical before a Chest & Pec workout:
Single sets of:
a) Smith machine bench chest press (guess what?!?! The chest surprised the both of us when I could bench heavier! Yay!)
b) Technogym cable incline chest fly (oh wow! With the energy expended on the bench, this was T.O.U.G.H. Then again, Michael kept raising the plate weights – excuses!)
c) DB bench chest press (better than last week!)
Supersets of:
d) Technogym cable standing chest fly (we were going with the theme “heavier” this morning or someone really wants me dead!)
e) Push-ups on roller foam (what?!?!?!?!)
Supersets of:
f) Kettlebell pull-overs
g) Roller abs (this is deceptive! I always enjoy myself doing it…only to be reminded of stretched and sore abs the following day!!!)
Saturday’s pre-SCKLM dinner with SW and HTN at Hard Rock Café (HRC) where we spotted more-than-usual-number of big bikes. BTW, HRC’s version of Char Kway Teow looked and tasted more like Chinese stall fried kway teow and yellow noodles. Naturally, SW and HTN’s burgers were great (Lesson learnt: hey, order their specialty instead of aiming for Malaysian food which you can get easily and cheaper at roadside stalls!).
