I think Michael and I have settled into a “happy” medium of reserving Wednesdays for legs – it’s a psychological thing about “having more energy at the beginning of the week vis-à-vis end and it’s a few days out from the weekend (usually events/races)”. Like I said, PURELY psychological. Small number of workouts this morning…can you tell that I’m disappointed?!?!?!?
Supersets of:
a) Smith machine squats (don’t let that 25lbs fool ya…coz the incremental comes in 25lbs…and the last one shouldn’t even be termed “supersets” since Michael had me do full squats before and after the leg squat press)
b) Cybex plate loaded leg squat press (OMFG…went up to 690lbs for the last! And this one was “wrapped” with full squats)

c) Hoist leg extension (Can I do the Technogym version??? Hoist is just way too difficult/heavy since in addition to the giganomous weight stack, there’s your own body weight to contend with!)
d) Hoist seated leg curl
Supersets of:
e) Kettlebell walking lunges (guess who VOLUNTEERED to increase the weight??? Which Michael took to mean increase by triple rather than the 10% rule which I had foolishly anticipated. Definitely certified insane)
f) Seated calf raises on foam roller with plate weights (no bueno balancing skill!)
Supersets of:
g) Abs crunches on fitball…and the distance got narrower and narrower and narrower
h) Plank on fitball
