It is a short working week this week as Monday and Tuesday were public holidays due to the Chinese New Year festivities. Unfortunately for me, it was a busy time in the office as we are launching a new issuance of a bond on Monday and as usual, the information memorandum/offering circular is a mess (actually it’ll be a mess until the final minute!). I had another “difference in opinion” with my colleague – what else is new right? – I cannot fathom why people choose to cut corners when the liabilities for a breach in securities law are RM3 million AND/or 10 years in jail.
I nearly did not make it for today’s training, as I couldn’t step out of the house with the carjacking / robbery happening across the road. Michael too had the same experience at Taman Seputeh – apparently, about 30 auxillary police were crowding around two Malay guys who were seen squatting by the side of the road – probably another snatch theft or robbery incident. Ok, enough of OOT (that is out of topic) and let us get back to today’s workout:
