I was jolted from my slumber early this morning with cramps on my right calf which is still plaguing me despite the flexing and stretching, the hour-long cardio session on the cross trainer which I had hoped would have warmed up the muscles and the isotonic drink.
The cramps caught me off guard as I don’t typically cramp up unless I’ve had a long (i.e. more than an hour) cardio session and did not replace the fluids with an isotonic drink during the workout.
So what gives???? Especially since yesterday’s workout was only a short run around Lake Gardens followed by legs training with Satish. I’m wondering if a massage or reflexology rendezvous would alleviate the pain. Now if only I could afford this luxury.
