Mid Week Recap

As suggested by SW, I took a break from running after the weekend’s mega (for me anyway) running spree. It was strength on Monday and today (see below) and cross training on the elliptical yesterday. Depending on the work situation, fingers crossed, I hope to be able to join the guys for an easy recovery run this evening, else it’ll be tomorrow morning with Kenny. On tap this morning:

Supersets of:

a) Hack squat

b) DB walking lunges

Supersets of:

c) Smith machine standing overhead shoulder press

d) BB frontal raise

Supersets of:

e) Matrix and then Technogym leg extension

f) Matrix seated leg curl and then Nautilus prone leg curl (the Matrix was a waste of $ since the cushion on the quads was pinching me like h***! Hence the move on to Nautilus)

g) Jumping squats

Supersets of:

h) Technogym cable seated rear delt

i) Abs crunches

Was away for a course yesterday – the topic? “Inside the Criminal Mind of a Money Launderer”. Bet that caught your eye! It was led by Humberto Aguilar – a convicted felon. Your eyes wide opened yet? The session was entertaining and definitely not the usual staid slides/presentation, group work and discussion style – heck, we even spun the roulette after lunch. It was good and refreshing to get away from the office. And since I was away, I ended up eating (and consuming) more than my usual calories – can we say mini Danish pastries (3!!!), roti canai, Melingau crisps and Kopi Tarik. Ahh but it was yummy since we were at Equatorial – recall Etoile?

Buteyko was great on Monday and this morning, not so yesterday. There are days and there are days and you just have to keep at it.
